Yesterday was really such an unfortunate day, i must mark it down on my calendar to mourn the 1 jun every year.
I went for some quick shopping while waiting for Eugene aft work and got interested in trying some outfits, then i found 2 similer design tops in diff colors which i could not decide which one to buy...."How Pink or Blue? Decisions, Decisions, a valley of decisions.... Pink is nice but i have a lot oredi, Blue is also nice and i dun have a lot, but i do like the way i look in pink".... then just as i was deliberating, Eugene called to hurry me to be on my way to meet him, in a haste, i decided to buy Both as they are on 50% discount....... And the salesgirl stared at me like i was an alien when i told her i was buying both...... just what was her problem, She should have smiled more brightly as i was spending money isn't it? What is it with service staff around?
After the unfortunate supermart incident, i thought Ok, that's it, what else can happen?
Then went to eat dinner at this 24 hr Big food court at shenton way. Eugene wanted to go and order Kway Chap, and the hawker told him to actually gor BIG intestines on the normal set, need to add $3. If not the normal set got no intestines?....... i had eaten Kway Chap for so many times and NEVER ONCE DID I HAVE TO PAY MORE FOR INTESTINES!!!!
Crazy and he insisted that the normal set dun have one.... if it was not because Eugene was the one who spoke to him, i would have asked him : "is there a "Chu Wen" uncle? The pigs are are dying across the land, how come they are selling like gold prices then? " I was not even asking for extra intestines just the normal share and he had to give me such crap?
Sigh, come on leh, for goodness sake we are locals leh, think we so easily conned by his words meh? Anyway we gave up on Kway Chap for the night and decided to order some carrot cake upon strong recommendation from Eugene that it is very delicious. We waited at least 20 mins for the carrot cake to be done as the auntie ran out of plates and went to search for some before she could cook, then when the carrot cake arrived, i was shocked to see the portion was so small that i need i can contain it in my palms!
What a day of unfortuate events!!!
